British Shorthairs are famously calm and affectionate with a cuddly, “teddy bear” look – rounded cheeks, a sturdy body, and a dense, plush coat. They carry a low-to-moderate energy level, thrive in indoor homes, and build strong bonds without being demanding. British Longhairs offer the same sweet temperament with a luxuriously longer, flowing coat.
Think plush. The British coat is dense and velvety, paired with a round face, broad chest, and expressive eyes. Eye color ranges from copper/amber to blue or green, depending on coat color.
Popular colors and patterns you can request:
Quiet, gentle, and easygoing – British cats fit beautifully into family life. They enjoy children, coexist well with friendly dogs, and settle into daily routines without fuss. Because they’re indoor cats by nature, they adapt well to condos and houses alike. Want a lap cat? Many will lounge beside you, then follow you from room to room like a soft, purring shadow.
Choose a high-quality diet (balanced wet and dry). Follow our specific food recommendations and portion guide to maintain a healthy weight. Fresh water always.
Use a soft grooming brush once or twice a week for British Shorthairs; schedule a bit more brushing for British Longhairs. Add nail trims, dental care, and an occasional ear check. We’ll show you how.
Your kitten arrives litter trained. Set up a roomy litter box, a sturdy scratching post, and a few puzzle toys. Rotate toys to keep curiosity active while honoring their low-to-moderate energy.
We follow a FVRCP vaccinations schedule and provide rabies when age-appropriate, plus deworming and parasite prevention. Your kitten receives a vet wellness exam and health certificate before travel. We can coordinate HCM (echo) and PKD (DNA) testing on request, and we offer FeLV/FIV testing. Expect a long life with good care and regular checkups.

It is generally considered safe to spay kittens before they are fully grown. In fact, many veterinarians recommend spaying or neutering kittens as early as 8-16 weeks old. This is known as early-age spay/neuter or pediatric spay/neuter.
Early spaying has several benefits:
However, it is important to consult with a veterinarian to determine the best time to spay a kitten based on it individual health, breed, and circumstances. We will definitely do this if the age and health conditions of a kitten allow occurring the surgery before being shipped. We will not neuter/spay the kitten in the cases if a buyer will ask to neuter a kitten on its own or will buy the breeding rights for an additional cost with the kitten)
