British Shorthairs are the quiet sophisticates of the cat world – calm, affectionate, and happy to live as an indoor cat. Their plush, dense coat and round, teddy-bear look make them instantly recognizable, while their low-to-moderate energy suits apartments and houses alike. Prefer a flowing coat? The British Longhair offers the same balanced temperament with a luxurious, easygoing mane.
Expect sturdy bodies, a broad chest, and strong bone – classic British style. They bond deeply with their people, yet respect your routine, lounging while you work and padding over for evening snuggles.
That iconic round face, chubby cheeks, and thick, plush coat create the British “teddy bear” charm. Eye color varies with coat – copper/amber in many solids, blue in colorpoints, green in silver/golden shaded lines.

Gentle with kids, polite with dogs, and wonderfully steady – British cats fit family life without drama. They’re affectionate but not clingy, social but not loud, and they thrive on predictable rhythms. Thinking of a calm companion for a busy household? This breed delivers. Want a mellow friend for a senior pet? A well-socialized Brit pairs beautifully when introduced with care. Their voices stay soft, their manners stay sweet, and their loyalty grows year after year.
Feed for slow-and-steady growth. Choose a high-quality wet/dry combo, offer fresh water (a fountain helps), and measure portions to prevent extra weight on their sturdy frame. We share food recommendations and a sample in your starter kit.
Groom weekly with a soft grooming brush; increase during seasonal sheds. Trim nails every 2-3 weeks, provide a stable scratching post, and keep litter training consistent with a low-dust, unscented litter. British Longhair coats benefit from twice-weekly combing to stay mat-free.
Health matters from day one. Your kitten follows a vaccinations schedule (FVRCP series, rabies when age-appropriate), receives deworming plus flea and heartworm prevention, and completes a vet wellness exam with a health certificate for travel. We offer FIV/FeLV testing, with optional HCM (echocardiogram) and PKD (DNA) testing upon request. Spay/neuter assistance is included – ask for timing and appointment help.
We stand behind every placement with proven lines, verifiable health care, and a human team that answers – every day of the week. We tailor testing and care, provide a thorough starter kit, and stay available long after homecoming. That’s the Meowoff difference: professional, caring, and trustworthy.

The price for cats is the total one and includes all vaccinations and neutering/spaying. (Neutering a kitten is our free option with no fee.)
It is generally considered safe to spay kittens before they are fully grown. In fact, many veterinarians recommend spaying or neutering kittens as early as 8-16 weeks old. This is known as early-age spay/neuter or pediatric spay/neuter.
Early spaying has several benefits:
However, it is important to consult with a veterinarian to determine the best time to spay a kitten based on it individual health, breed, and circumstances. We will definitely do this if the age and health conditions of a kitten allow occurring the surgery before being shipped. We will not neuter/spay the kitten in the cases if a buyer will ask to neuter a kitten on its own or will buy the breeding rights for an additional cost with the kitten)
