Every kitten completes a vet-certified health check and receives age-appropriate vaccinations (FVRCP and, when age-eligible, rabies), comprehensive deworming, and ongoing flea/heartworm prevention. We offer FeLV/FIV testing; want more? Request additional screening like HCM (echo) or PKD (DNA), and we’ll tailor the plan.
We back your kitten with a 1-year genetic health guarantee and guide you 7 days a week post-adoption. Message us any time – feeding tweaks, litter tips, introductions to resident pets – we’ll walk you through it.
Protect yourself with verifiable paperwork, a written contract, and live video of your kitten. We match serial numbers and vaccine labels to your kitten’s passport and provide travel health certificates when required. Ask us how to verify WCF records and how to compare against CFA/TICA directories when researching other catteries.
Your kitten goes home with a starter kit and detailed care instructions. Prefer pet-only? We assist with spay/neuter timing and logistics. Considering breeding rights? Let’s discuss eligibility and responsible placement.

British Shorthairs look like living teddy bears – round face, dense plush coat, and soulful copper or amber eyes in many colors. Calm, affectionate, and quietly loyal, they fit beautifully into Virginia homes that prefer low-to-moderate energy companions. Expect a steady friend who enjoys being near you, chooses cozy spots over acrobatics, and thrives as an indoor cat with predictable routines.
British Longhairs share the same temperament but carry a medium-to-long coat for extra fluff and drama; grooming needs increase slightly, but the personality remains the same: composed, affectionate, and easygoing.
The British palette is famously diverse:
Their hallmark features include a round face with chubby cheeks, a strong body, and that dense, plush coat you’ll want to pet all day. Eye color varies by coat – from deep copper/amber in many solids to blue or green in specific shades and colorpoints.
Ask which colors are available now in Virginia; we regularly place blue and lilac kittens and often have golden or silver shaded babies through our champion lines.
Looking for a cat that’s good with kids and friendly dogs? British Shorthairs typically excel here. Their calm nature helps them adapt to family life, and while they won’t demand constant attention, they appreciate gentle affection and predictable play. They’re quiet communicators, content to lounge near their people, and they bond deeply when given consistent, kind handling from kittenhood.
Feed a high-quality wet-and-dry combo to support hydration and slow, steady growth. We share brand recommendations and portion guidance tailored to your kitten’s age and weight.
The British Shorthair’s dense plush coat benefits from a weekly grooming brush session; British Longhairs enjoy 2-3 quick comb-outs per week to reduce tangles. Add periodic nail trims and a comfortable scratching post.
Keep the litter box large, low-entry, and quiet. We send litter training tips and help you “set the room” for a smooth first week.
Your kitten arrives with a vet wellness exam documented in a pet/vet passport, plus age-appropriate vaccinations (FVRCP; rabies when age-eligible) and a deworming schedule. We include flea and heartworm prevention. Want microchipping or added tests like HCM (echo) or PKD (DNA)? Request them before travel and we’ll arrange it.
British Shorthairs typically grow into sturdy medium-to-large cats and live long, healthy lives with regular vet care, an indoor lifestyle, and measured nutrition.

Arrangements and exceptions can be made ONLY if both the originally chosen kitten and the new desired one are at the same breeder, AND if the kitten is still not spayed, and the purebred certificate has not been issued under your name. The final payment due the day your kitten arrives at his new home. The deposit can be made through PayPal. Final payment upon picking up through Venmo, Zelle, or Cash. If you have any questions or concerns regarding payment please don’t hesitate to contact us.
The price for cats is the total one and includes all vaccinations and neutering/spaying. (Neutering a kitten is our free option with no fee.)
It is generally considered safe to spay kittens before they are fully grown. In fact, many veterinarians recommend spaying or neutering kittens as early as 8-16 weeks old. This is known as early-age spay/neuter or pediatric spay/neuter.
Early spaying has several benefits:
However, it is important to consult with a veterinarian to determine the best time to spay a kitten based on it individual health, breed, and circumstances. We will definitely do this if the age and health conditions of a kitten allow occurring the surgery before being shipped. We will not neuter/spay the kitten in the cases if a buyer will ask to neuter a kitten on its own or will buy the breeding rights for an additional cost with the kitten)
