Calm, affectionate, and famously undemanding, the British Shorthair suits modern homes that value a steady, quiet companion. They keep a low-to-moderate energy level and thrive as indoor cats, bonding deeply without constant attention. Expect that plush, dense coat and the iconic round face that gives the British their “teddy bear” charm.
British Longhair kittens share the same endearing temperament with a luxuriously fuller coat. Prefer a slightly fluffier silhouette? The Longhair answers that wish while maintaining the same sturdy, composed demeanor.
British cats captivate with symmetry and softness – rounded cheeks, sturdy bone, and a dense plush coat you can’t help but touch. Eye color ranges by coat: copper/amber on many solids, green on silver/golden shaded, and blue on colorpoints.
Whether you love a classic blue British Shorthair or a rare golden shaded beauty, we guide you through show vs pet quality and help you pick a kitten that matches your taste and lifestyle.
Looking for a cat that does well with respectful children and calm dogs? British Shorthairs excel here. They enjoy company, greet guests politely, and choose laps on their terms. They’re affectionate yet independent, playful without chaos, and beautifully quiet – an easy addition to apartments and houses alike. Keep them indoors, provide cozy perches, and watch a confident, loving companion unfold.

It is generally considered safe to spay kittens before they are fully grown. In fact, many veterinarians recommend spaying or neutering kittens as early as 8-16 weeks old. This is known as early-age spay/neuter or pediatric spay/neuter.
Early spaying has several benefits:
However, it is important to consult with a veterinarian to determine the best time to spay a kitten based on it individual health, breed, and circumstances. We will definitely do this if the age and health conditions of a kitten allow occurring the surgery before being shipped. We will not neuter/spay the kitten in the cases if a buyer will ask to neuter a kitten on its own or will buy the breeding rights for an additional cost with the kitten)
