Looking for that dramatic, silver‑tipped look? Our Black Smoke lines include several expressions you might see when browsing our litters of NS Black Smoke Maine Coon kittens. Whether you’re shopping NS Black Smoke Maine Coon kittens for sale, exploring NS Black Smoke coon kittens for sale, or ready to buy NS Black Smoke Maine Coon kittens, we’ll help you compare patterns. Some families prefer NS Black Smoke kittens, while others fall for a bi‑color NS Black Smoke cat with white accents.
Also called “Black Smoke and White,” this pattern adds white areas (chest, paws, blaze). You’ll sometimes see it listed as Black Smoke With White, Black Smoked With White, or Black Smokey With White.
Some people say “Black Smoke Marble” to describe a smoke cat with classic, swirling tabby patterning. In breed terms, that’s a classic tabby smoke – dramatic whorls over the silver undercoat, creating a high-contrast, marble-like look.
Together, “ns” denotes Black Smoke – a black cat with the silver undercoat that creates the signature smoke effect.
Black Smoke comes from two key components: a black base color (n) and the dominant inhibitor gene (I), which prevents pigment from forming at the hair root, revealing a silver-white undercoat. That’s why a smoke cat looks darker at rest but “flares” silver when it moves. Depending on the presence of white spotting or a tabby pattern, you’ll see variations like Black Smoke With White or a smoke classic tabby (“marble”). We can review pedigree notes, Genetic Testing options, and pairing data from our partner catteries so you understand how a particular kitten’s coat is likely to mature.
Maine Coons are famous for large Size and balanced structure – muscular frame, substantial bone, a square muzzle, and tufted ears with lynx tips. Expect a long, shaggy Coat Pattern with a dramatic ruff, britches, and a full plume tail. In Black Smoke, the contrast is striking: black surface, silver roots.
Grooming is straightforward when you keep a rhythm. Brush 2–3 times per week to lift loose undercoat and maintain that sharp smoke contrast; add a quick comb-out during seasonal sheds. Bathe infrequently with a coat-safe shampoo if needed, and towel dry to prevent matting. Keep nails trimmed and ears clean, and ask our veterinarian partners for product tips. We’ll send you home with care instructions, nutrition guidance for healthy growth, and our recommendations for brushes suited to a Maine Coon cat’s coat.
Prefer a specific look – super silver undercoat, broader ruff, or a stockier build? Tell us early. We’ll guide you to the right Maine Coon cat for sale from our upcoming litters and trusted European partners, with updates as kittens develop.
Gentle, social, and playful – Maine Coon cats adore people. Expect dog‑like traits: they follow you from room to room, greet guests, and learn routines. Many enjoy puzzle feeders and interactive toys; most settle beautifully with respectful children and other pets.
Nope. Color doesn’t affect Temperament or Lifespan. Black Smoke simply adds drama to an already wonderful breed.
They’re less common than classic tabbies, so demand runs high. Joining the Waiting List helps you secure friendly, healthy NS Black Smoke Maine Coon kittens for sale when litters are announced. Ask about large NS Black Smoke Maine Coon kittens for sale if you prefer a more substantial frame; we’ll flag kittens that fit your preferences.

It is generally considered safe to spay kittens before they are fully grown. In fact, many veterinarians recommend spaying or neutering kittens as early as 8-16 weeks old. This is known as early-age spay/neuter or pediatric spay/neuter.
Early spaying has several benefits:
However, it is important to consult with a veterinarian to determine the best time to spay a kitten based on it individual health, breed, and circumstances. We will definitely do this if the age and health conditions of a kitten allow occurring the surgery before being shipped. We will not neuter/spay the kitten in the cases if a buyer will ask to neuter a kitten on its own or will buy the breeding rights for an additional cost with the kitten)
